Hong Kong: Glasshouse at IFC

First of all, I want to extend my condolences to everyone who is affected my any aviation accident. Who knew that it could get this bad. It really made me realize that my problems are so insignificant.

I walked out of my house this morning and remembered to yell I love you to J. I made it a point to tell my mom, dad and sisters that I love them. Just can't take anything for granted.

Anyway, on a lighter note, we finally tried the Glasshouse in IFC. By we, I mean Winnie, Chris and I.

The ambience was quite good and the service was fast.

If you sit by the bar, you will be facing the pier where you can see #TsimShaTsui.

Winnie was not please that I was taking so many photos. Haha!Yes, I was the tourist. And in many ways I still feel like one, even though, I don't feel too out of place walking around now.
People usually think I'm from #HongKong till I speak anyway. So whatevesss! If I'm genuinely leaving Hong Kong next year, I want to be able to look back at these places I've been and not feel like I've wasted my 2 years here.

Guava and ginger tea. It was pretty good.

We started with some oysters. It was actually really fresh and it has a great flavour.

Spicy sambal chicken wings. Who can say no to that?! It was a tad bit salty but still pretty good.

These crab cakes are phenomenal. This is probably the first time I was not disappointed after I ordered crab cakes.

This is an atas version of a Singapore Fried Vermicelli. There are lobster meat and goose liver in it.

Unfortunately, we had to send this back because the goose liver tasted a little funky. And the waiter was good enough to immediately take it away, including those we had on our little plates.

We ordered this organic pasta with clams as a replacement. It is definitely a safe choice but not a remarkable dish.

This was what Chris had ordered. She couldn't eat most of the dish because she was having a minor skin condition. I didn't try this but Chris didn't complain and as you can see, it was nicely cooked.

Lastly, teriyaki wagyu rump beef with rice. The beef is cooked well. We wanted medium but the rice is filled with MSG. Photo is a little blur because the rice was falling apart as I took the photo.

Going out with them is always fun. Took this photo in a hurry, dunno where to look wtf!

In the ferry. This photo was taken by my drunk boyfriend on the way home.
