Hong Kong: Tim Ho Wan (cheapest Michelin-Starred Dim Sum)

Happy Monday!

Still have 30 mins left from my lunch break. Thought I'll take a moment to blog about my weekend.

I was very pleased to be hosting one of my closest friend in college. I missed her wedding cos I was in UK last year and since I've moved to HK, I've been a pro in missing out weddings.
Sigh. I try my best anyhow.
Not the best photo of us. We had a long day by then. Love this photo nonetheless.

She is Sujintana Mongkultanit. My first half Thai ever friend. Although her name is so Thai, she is anything but.
Okay, this is not any better.

I've known her for 8 years. Catching up about boys, life, her proposal..basicallly all the updates since we last met. I believe it was easily 3 years worth of information to process. So, I am really glad she stayed at mine for 1 night. So at least we had a good day to catch up.
Bbq Pork Bun. Slightly crunchy on the outside (very similar to the skin of polo bun) and soft in the insides.

I brought Sujin to #TimHoWan. It is a Michelin-starred restaurant. I actually stumbled upon it, ate there and realized later that it is an award winning restaurant. So, this is my go-to place when I have visitors.

The restaurant is headed by Mak Pui Gor who used to work in a three-starred restaurant, Lung King Heen at Four Seasons Hotel.
Best plain chee cheung fun I ever had.
Pan-fried Turnip Cakes. It is fluffy and you can taste the turnips. Nyum!
Chicken feet. I know my people don't eat this but it is soooo good. I promise.
The Siu Mai is good but definitely not the best I've ever had in #HongKong. Funnily, the best Siu Mai I ever had is at the dodgy dim sum restaurant on my island.
Lastly, a pretty photo of Mrs. Long. I'm so happy for you and hope to see you again real soon! Xxx

Our meal cost uz around HKD115.00 only. Which is really cheap for the quality. They don't take reservation so I recommend that people go there for dinner instead of breakfast or lunch. Much much shorter wait. We were stuffed. Thank god we didn't order more.
